The two companies plan to combine LG Electronics' user-friendly Kiosk with Usen's ordering solution, best suited to the local market, to accelerate the digital transformation of Japanese food and beverage retailers. According to market research firm Sukana Japan, there were approximately one million food and beverage retailers in Japan at the end of last year.
LG Electronics' Model 27 self-service kiosk boasts a sleek design and excellent touch sensitivity and responsiveness. Utilizing a unique surface treatment technology, it features a high-brightness, high-resolution panel that minimizes light reflection, ensuring high visibility in any lighting environment.

The two companies will also provide extensive support for sales information management systems and dedicated software for self-service kiosks that align with retail operations. This means that using Usen's POS solution allows for the customization of languages beyond the intuitive UI/UX and Japanese, including Korean, English, and Chinese, leveraging various features to enhance customer convenience.
LG Electronics and Usen plan to expand their collaboration beyond kiosks in terms of size and product sophistication to include digital signage that improves retail interior design and convenience. Min Dong-sun, head of LG Electronics' ID Business Division, stated, "We will expand our influence in the global self-service kiosk market, including in Japan, through LG Electronics' differentiated digital self-service kiosks with unique designs and technologies."
